NOVOMATIC Americas Announces Leadership Transition
Illinois, June 24, 2024 – NOVOMATIC Americas announces the appointment of Alexander Merwald as the new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Rick Meitzler. Rick is leaving after many years of dedicated service, during which he has contributed significantly to the success of NOVOMATIC's US business.
Alexander Merwald, a US citizen, has been with the NOVOMATIC Group since 2012, when he took over the role as Head of the NOVOMATIC AG’s Group M&A department. Furthermore, he was appointed as Managing Director of NOVOMATIC Africa in 2021, where he successfully contributed to the restructuring of the company and continues expanding in the sales and rental segment in the region. Alexander is an experienced leader and will make an important contribution to the successful future and expansion of NOVOMATIC Americas.
Therefore, the new Management Board of NOVOMATIC Americas consists of Alexander Merwald (CEO), Len Busche (CFO) and Sabine Stoppel (CCO).
